Quote from William Rennick:

I received the following email from a dedicated email address (not gmail or hotmail) with ericross as the front of the address.

"Hi Bill, I have no idea whats going on. I came back and somehow my machine has been hacked. I tried calling and emailing Baron, but he is not returning my messages."

I'm not sure if Baron has a legal reason not to let this guy be able to respond but I would like to see what he has to say in open forum.

This is way beyond anyone in this forum. Given that what was done was a felony (and a heinous one at that), it does no one any good to hear what he has to say or for him to say anything here.

If his information has been sent to the police along with all the evidence Baron has compiled, he'll have a lot of explaining to do and this will probably be done in court. From what atticus has said, I hope he goes to jail. There should be very little tolerance for this type of stuff... I personally think it should carry similar penalities to homicide.

I wouldn't be reaching out to this guy if I were you.

Bill's trying to help, but this unnecessarily complicates the investigation.

Fellas, I don't know if he did it or not. Good men have died defending ones right to be presumed innocent. If EMR has something to say in his defense I say let him speak. There's no one I here I respect more than Baron or Atticus, and I would ask for the same presumption of innocence and right to speak if they or anyone else were accused of something this serious. I'll volunteer to string him up if proven guilty, but let's hear what he has to say, if he wants to. Anything he says can be used if this goes to court.

Understood, and we thankfully don't practice Napoleonic Code in the USA (outside of this thread and Guantanamo), but Casey Anthony is free. Other than a confession it is really immaterial as nobody is going to intentionally incriminate themselves.

He can't prove he was hacked any more than I can prove the existence of God.

I can guarantee he'll attempt an alibi that places him somewhere other than in front of his computer, but the authorities already have his FB time and IP stamps.

I think we should all sit back, take a deep breathe, and let Baron keeps us posted on any updates; like arrests etc.

Speculation in this mess does not seem to be very useful. The whole thing leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.
