Anytime someone sends you "child pornography"...it's your responsibility to contact your local authorities and any special anti-child-pornography organization. Simply, do not depend upon Baron (ET management) to take care of this issue all by themselves.

Similarly as an analogy, if you were visiting a neighbor and you notice a relative of the neighbor was in possession of child pornography...it's your moral responsibility to contact the authorities and not be dependent upon the neighbor to take care of business involving the relative.

Thus, don't do a Joe Paterno move (pun intended) here at EliteTrader.com

Last of all, I notice a few complaints here at ET where a few said their kid saw the child pornography image. Why on earth would someone allow their child to be viewing EliteTrader.com especially with the type of conversation that's occurring in the PR threads and the Chit Chat threads...

Threads where you can find nude women, half dressed women, suggestive poses that are allowed by ET management (e.g. RCG Girl's Pictorium)...isn't this a trader forum ???

Geeesh, I have two kids and no way in hell would I allow them to visit this forum with the type of threads that are allowed to exist in the PR and Chit Chat threads and now with some sicko running around a forum via numerous aliases (new and old) any time he gets that sick urge to post child porn.

Can you go through pm archives and see if only the users who got the pm from this sick son of a bitch are the same ones who keep getting the redirect on the threads?
 
Baron just out of curiosity did you contact the Canadian authorities as well about this? I could see them making it more of a priority then the FBI will, if this guy lives in Canada.

I don't think I have been affected. But sometimes when I open a thread it is as if another window is opening for a second but nothing happens. This has not happened before could it be related.
 
I got the PM a while back which included only pictures which loaded automatically. I closed it, deleted the messages, and cleared my cache. I have not seen any pop-ups or redirects on the site so far. I have kaspersky AV and a firewall on the machine I use for browsing.

Hi

I ran this week end the 3 programs above - but without touching to system restore (there is no restore date set for the computer) nor booting through safe mode (thought I knew how to do it , but it didn't work that way...) and found neither virus nor malware, although one site was blocked from accessing my computer yesterday (IP starting with 99).

Yet I haven't had anymore problem with ET since saturday night/ sunday morning, whereas saturday night the pedo link popped up several times.

I got the same PM and did the same as you, but did get pics loading as posts in threads. I am running OS X snow leopard and lion on various machines.
