Since the last time, I have begun using VM image to access this site. Very easy to set up (either windows or linux), keep it simple (no attached drives, etc) and if it gets hit, just delete the image and start anew.

It's not worth the trouble becoming a accidental voyeur to cold's delusion's.

(BTW, I hope the authorities have been on this and not taking their sweet ass time.)

So you can tell me, with all honesty that you have absolutely no way of regulating or controlling both the content people post in PM's or more importantly, controlling what specific individuals frequent this site, right?

I just had a lengthy conversation with my staff and I got a industry standard answer. Now I would like to hear yours.

I'd love to hear this "industry standard answer".

Volente, what does it mean ? I run a couple of Avast scans which found nothing - but I can't access the forum anymore, today open a ET link directly from my email box ( 1 link to which I have already replied) and again got hit - does it come from the thread beeing hacked or from the user beeing infected?? I noticed nothing until last night but now it seems I can't surf ET anymore

Turn off system restore.

Delete all of your brower cookies and temporary internet files

Boot in safe mode.

Then run the kaspersky virus removal tool.

Then run the tdss killer.

http://www.kaspersky.com/virus-removal-tools

Then download malwarebytes and run it.

Then run your regular antivirus scan again.

Turn system restore back on

Let me know if it finds any malware, root kits or trojans

I think it's coming from something on the user's computer because there's nothing in the threads at all.

that's what I'm concerned about; that it got transferred to my laptop

anyone know how to find and get rid of same?

From what I can tell it was some kind of script embedded in the pm that was sent to others under the username joe. After clicking on a thread the other day that had been hacked I then started getting requests for my computer to connect to 208 73 210 29 ip. Thankfully my firewall blocked it but for those who may not run one, from what I can tell it is some kind of backdoor trojan where the hacker tries to access your computer from this address. Perhaps someone more versed in hacking will chime in on what exactly happened in these attacks.

The hacker is back again.
Barron, you need to address this stupid bullshit. If it means shutting the forums down until you find a permanent solution then do it instead of exposing thousands of members to this sickness.

ok, just clicked on new thread in "Trading" about "losing months" - and suddenly large, colored photos of child porn open + scroll, seemingly supplanting the written post that I am beginning to view.
