The real problem with the 40,000 people that came from China after the "shut-down" is that most went through no health screening with temperature and questions. None were quarantined. There was no requirement or recommendation that the quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.

Note that if you came from a hotspot where Ebola existed they made people quarantine for several weeks upon arrival in the U.S.

While, we have a lot of American patriots in the US military, we still have political hacks everywhere. Unless, figures are audited, any political hack can manufacture any results they want. And you have no problems with having 2 negative tests then, a positive test? That tells you outright that probably, the test kits are defective? Now, you have to run each person tested thru multiple test kits employing different methods. What if you get a positive and negatives then? That is why the results are garbage.

So, did they get tested or not because of the symptoms? Just having symptoms is not enough as a lot of the symptoms are the same for coughs and colds or even the flu. If they relied on the symptoms alone, you have to question their objectivity at a minimum. And if you say, they tested positive then, the accuracy of the test kits are in doubt and they have to be re-tested multiple times now, using different test kits. Did they re-test those individuals multiple times now, using different types of test kits? Again, if you answer no then, you have to question the motivation why you would not try to validate questionable results? It smacks of trying to drive a political agenda.

As the article stated --- they felt sick a few days after re-joining the ship, reported to the medical facility to be evaluated, got tested positive, and were removed from the ship to be quarantined on shore.
