Thanks for your answers. Really, I should have clarified that I meant. It seems to me that the volatility is low and now I can build structures such as strangle or straddle.

• Long strangles/straddles are too expensive, you must choose calls OR puts - not both.
• Short strangles/straddles are to risky - Iron Condors would be better.
• The above applies to all market conditions.

Short options is always risky. On the choice of buying calls or puts thanks for the advice, I think.
