Death Rate % = total number of covid19 deaths / total number of positive covid19 cases
1 covid19 death / 2 positive cases = 50% death rate.
1 covid19 death / 3 positive cases = 33% death rate.
1 covid19 death / 4 positive cases = 25% death rate.
etc etc etc
The numerator stays constant. The denominator is a big question mark, and waaaaaayyyyyy under-sampled. Why? No testing.
Numbers coming out of Chicago and LA County show 4-50% of the population already exposed. With mass, rapid testing, the death toll (numerator) remains same, while denominator grows exponentially =============

O.2% death rate.

This is for real man. If they don't start this economy back up, and I mean real soon, then consumption is gonna collapse completely. Far more than in living memory. The financial pressures are mounting with every day this thing keeps going.
This is a perfect storm.
Mass bankruptcy and unemployment. The 'new economy' is going to be so much less profitable it will be like shock and awe type shit. State and municipal governments under wildly out of control financial duress.
Shutdown kills incomes & revenues > debts accruing > credit spreads blow out > credit tightens > mass bankruptcy & unemployment > social distancing is new normal

The key to this entire charade is mass testing for anti-bodies. When we find out tens of millions of Americans have already had this Whu Flu and recovered (instead of only a few hundred thousand we're currently assuming in dark....), the whole lie is exposed as the fraud it is. It ain't that bad!!! When the numbers show the death rate is way lower then we think, we can all confidently reopen the economy and go back to our normal lives....
This whole lack of testing game / charade / conspiracy is really killing us. Not the virus.
Maybe 2 million infected in New York and 8 million in the rest of the country.

Pulling numbers out of your ass again, this thing spreads fast and the NYC new cases and deaths wouldn't be dropping already.
Lockdowns have very little effect anywhere, unless it's a military on your door step level of lockdown, just pointless.
Sweden, Stockholme over the peak, rest of the country soon, this time next month for them this will be a distant nightmare, where as the rest of us have months and then the crippled economy and massive debts to pay back.

Sure but that does not mean "let's just forget about it". That will end in a disaster as the hospitals will be overwhelmed even more. Other medical services will suffer, so your routine medical problem will suddenly mean you're waiting for days to get attention.
Lockdown isn't to stop the disease, it's to buy time for medical services.
UK we hit the peak 8th April, before Lockdown measures would of kicked in, couldn't see that it was the peak until recently mind.
Hospitals better than ever recently, from 6hour waiting to be seen to 8mins on most hospitals, deserted as nobody wants to catch the C19.
Everyone else is scared and doesn't want to risk catching it, they need to learn, it's to slow, not to stop / reverse the spread.
2 more weeks of lockdown hell here, although pretty much ignoring as I've had it and so have my mates from well me.
And someone else might say: that's evidence of the lockdown working.
Personally I have no problem with the lockdown even if it's much much more strict here - can go out twice a week, 5 hours at a time, military checkpoints everywhere. It's hardly "hell" for anyone, people are way too spoiled. You get to sit around, drink beer and watch shows...you're not in a ditch fighting the enemy without having eaten for days...
