Video: Miami Fan Slaps Cop, Cop Punches Her in the Face

She got what was coming to her in the opinion of most people.

So that's the standard now? Mob justice?

I get it but please refrain from any more of your moralistic lectures to us. You support a 250 pound cop hitting a women who is being restrained by three other cops in the face with his fist.

A cop taking quite correct and proper measures to stop an abusive, drunken woman from further assaulting him is not “mob justice”. Keeping in mind this person had already ruined the football game for many people in that section of the stadium the reaction of the majority of the fans saying that she got what was coming to her (as quoted in multiple articles) is quite understandable.

There is no moralistic lecture here - the cop is in the right using appropriate and limited force for the situation to stop further harm to himself or others attempting to carry the woman away. The woman is completely in the wrong. There is no moralistic ground here - simply an obvious statement of right vs. wrong.

I would say that the cop probably acted in the wrong to just deck her, maybe deserves a suspension, but im not going to lose any sleep over someone who acts like a total idiot and ends up getting punched, its real simple if you want to avoid being punched by a cop, dont be a total moron, and comply with their orders.

The reason i have zero sympathy for her, is the same reason i have zero sympathy for most of the cases BLM throws a hissy fit over, inevitably it comes back to the person acting responsibly, if she didnt act obnoxiously, and make an ass of herself it never would have gotten to that level, its really simple to avoid getting beaten up by cops, just dont be a fucking idiot.

The next time the takeakneegroes start whining, just pull out this video and tell them their scam is up. It happens to everyone.

This is obviously true and I agree with it. That doesn't mean what the cop did was right. Cops have a tough job dealing with people who could pose an actual threat to them. This wasn't that case, as much as GWB wants to imagine that it was. It was a case of a cop either losing his temper or thinking he had a chance to deliver some street justice. Either one is unacceptable and screams that he has no business wearing a badge and carrying a weapon.

I want to let this go but let's be clear here. There is no police procedure manual that says punching a woman in the face while she is being restrained by three other cops is proper procedure. This bully had not been assaulted. At most he had been brushed by her hand as the other cops were swinging her around and she was flailing her arms drunkenly. All he had to do to prevent further contact was to step back. If four large male cops cannot arrest one drunk girl without beating her something is wrong with either their training or the police selection process.

All this kind of incident does is to convince people that maybe BLM has a point.

Obviously most of America and I disagree with you about this situation. The officer’s use of force was restrained and limited. It prevented further injury to himself and the other officers as they carried off the abusive, drunk woman.

I expect that this officer will be employed for many more years serving the community.

Actually lawyers who specialize in this type of work have weighed in saying the officer was quite within the limits of police procedure in handling this situation.

The woman was not restrained - she had no cuffs on - which is the legal definition of restrained. She was hitting officers and posing a continued threat.

If you have a fantasy that this officer is going to be arrested and/or fired — I got some news for you it's not going to happen.
