Even... if a person/vendor has multiple aliases...I Still can't imagine it would make much of a difference...
How many aliases can 1 vendor have and can they pump penny stocks???
You know why I am askin'....![]()
My question was asked in a generic way, not just about book selling. There could be a vendor selling a trading room access. Now if 3 of his aliases are backing him that "sure, we are making money there", you see the problem?
Sure, but that kind of problem is very generic as you say, and would apply to just about any interactive service out there, not just ET. But I will say this: People who create a few shill aliases to promote themselves rarely end up being successful, especially over the long term. The universe has a way of weeding people like that out of the system eventually. Besides, most consumers are smart enough nowadays to see right through that kind of activity.

More to the point, if his strategy worked as claimed, he'd open his own trading journal rather than free-riding on OP's pageviews.

I also noticed his posts looked familiar, Truetype made the following comment about my posts on the Surf Report thread:
it is obvious that it was MarketSurfer/Goodboy writing the message as no else would care about thread pageviews.
