USA is sinking into 3rd world status

Quote from BSAM:

We need to walk into Mexico, take it over, then grant the USA to those who walked over here. Then, we'll build a new and better constitution in the NUSA. (New United State of America)

While you do that Canada can walk into Alaska and take it over. Fair's fair :)

correct: Palin is too dumb to organize something like Hitler or Stalin did. but a dummy can be controlled by somebody evil from behind the curtains.

Caribou Barbie? Anyone that put creationism over evolution and believes their foreign policy experience on Russia comes from looking out their backyard, scary.

Your anti Palin cynicism surprises.. and disappoints. Sounds like boilerplate Leftist spew... I'd thought better of you.

last time i checked, presidents of all 3rd world countries go hat in hand infront of that feminazi Mrs Clinton. The prime minister of britain referred to themselves as America's junior partners 2 weeks ago. Hardly the characteristics of a 3rd world states. You US bears are way early. I won't deny that the US is acquiring the characteristics of a banana republic as time passes. But just not yet.

Quote from Free Thinker:

colorado springs is going broke because it is a religious mecca. they have let so many churches move into that town that they have destroyed the tax base because churches are tax exempt.

Although houses of worship of almost every major religion can be found in the city, Colorado Springs has attracted a large influx of Evangelical Christians and Christian organizations in recent years. At one time Colorado Springs was counted to be the national headquarters for 81 different religious organizations, earning the city the tongue-in-cheek nickname "the Evangelical Vatican"[41] and "The Christian Mecca"[citation needed]. Religious groups with regional or international headquarters in Colorado Springs include: the Association of Christian Schools International, the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Compassion International, Focus on the Family, HCJB, the International Bible Society, The Navigators, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs, WAY-FM Media Group, Andrew Wommack Ministries, and Young Life

even Free Thinkers should supply links to back their claims. For one thing, your summary is very weak. A city has a church from almost every religion therefore it is going broke? How about some 7th grade analysis rather than vapid conclusions like this???? How many church buildings are there compared to commercial properties that are curre ntly taxed? You know, supporting evidence?

Quote from ralph00:

It was my impression that paved roads are the enemy according to the crowd Krugman runs with. Don't paved roads make it easy to use the evil oil-chugging, carbon-emitting automobile for transportation, as opposed to bikes, trains, or whatever the latest eco-fad is? Therefore, one would think that the fact that we are "unpaving" roads would be a very enlightened and promising move according to the Krugman crowd.

The guy is an idiot and the only man in America who is more consistently wrong about EVERYTHING than Alan Greenspan.

Actually, if you want people to ride bikes you should have paved roads. Gravel is an excellent way of making bikes lose traction and fall over.
