USA is sinking into 3rd world status

Quote from mokwit:

"The prime minister of britain referred to themselves as America's junior partners"

He meant "wholly owned subsidiary".

sad all these young brits are dying for something that is none of their concern.

The soldiers were killed on Tuesday night during a routine patrol on the borders of Helmand and Kandahar provinces. The victims have been named today as, from left, Corporal Jake Hartley, 20, Private Anthony Frampton, 20, Private Christopher Kershaw, 19, Private Daniel Wade, 20, and Private Daniel Wilford, 21, Sergeant Nigel Coupe, 33. Lt Colonel Zac Stenning, the commanding officer of the unit hit hardest by the tragedy, paid tribute to his 'incredibly brave men' in a moving statement.

Some simple math is all that is required:

46% of employed citizens are paid from taxes collected from the other 54%.
ie. State, Local and Federal employees, Military and prime contractors.

We would need to tax at 46% just to support this imbalance.

If we want to freeze our tax rate at 20% than cut 26% of those that are paid out of taxes.

I'm all for 10% tax >> Cut 80% of the government paid workforce.

Military spending on troops is but a small fraction of what the sole source contractors are making.

America Goes Dark
By PAUL KRUGMAN
Published: August 8, 2010

The lights are going out all over America — literally. Colorado Springs has made headlines with its desperate attempt to save money by turning off a third of its streetlights, but similar things are either happening or being contemplated across the nation, from Philadelphia to Fresno.

Meanwhile, a country that once amazed the world with its visionary investments in transportation, from the Erie Canal to the Interstate Highway System, is now in the process of unpaving itself: in a number of states, local governments are breaking up roads they can no longer afford to maintain, and returning them to gravel.

And a nation that once prized education — that was among the first to provide basic schooling to all its children — is now cutting back. Teachers are being laid off; programs are being canceled; in Hawaii, the school year itself is being drastically shortened. And all signs point to even more cuts ahead.

We’re told that we have no choice, that basic government functions — essential services that have been provided for generations — are no longer affordable. And it’s true that state and local governments, hit hard by the recession, are cash-strapped. But they wouldn’t be quite as cash-strapped if their politicians were willing to consider at least some tax increases.

And what about the economy’s future? Everything we know about economic growth says that a well-educated population and high-quality infrastructure are crucial. Emerging nations are making huge efforts to upgrade their roads, their ports and their schools. Yet in America we’re going backward.

Typical Islamic propaganda. The only country that will sink to 3rd world status is MohdSalleh's Iran once we have finished with it :D

God bless Israel and USA.

Quote from Debaser82:

It's very hard to have the mental power to acknowledge your own country is slipping away.

Ask an Italian, Spanjard, German, Japanese or American where they think life is best and where it is worst and many will chose their own as the best.

trend of emigration shows the reality on the ground.
