US Now Spends More Servicing Its Debt Than On National Defense

US Now Spends More Servicing Its Debt Than On National Defense

By Mark Cudmore, Bloomberg Markets reporter and strategist

Thanks to rising yields, the US government now has to spend more each year on servicing its immense debt burden than it spent on national defense in 2022.

The calculation is based on estimated annualized debt payments as of end of April versus the Treasury’s release of last year’s budget expenditures.

Interest costs burning up bucks or bombs stuck in the ground never to be fired. Don't get me started on the absolute absurd cost of the F35 Joint Strike Fighter per jet as one over the top example. But it makes Pols happy because "they are bringing home the bacon" to their districts.

Both are a losing game we have been playing for decades.

Look back in history and you will see that all previous empires went through the same ordeal before their ultimate fall. Sadly, people just don't learn from their past mistakes.

That doesn't mean China will fill its place. That will never happen. Nobody wants a dictator watching over them 24/7.

Well as long as you do something or take a stand, there will always always be somebody who won't like what you did and will try to attack you so you would have no choice but to defend yourself. That's inevitable. The only way to not have any enemies is to do nothing and say nothing and that's unacceptable. And unfortunately you have to pay to defend yourself against people who attack you for speaking your piece. Nothing is free.

Half of Americans still have their heads buried underground like ostriches. They believe the everything is hunky dory narrative on CNBC, Bloomberg and extreme liberal media. US is $31 trillion in the hole and only getting worst by the day. In other news, Biden, Democrats and RINOs tripping over themselves to send tens of billions to Ukraine with no end in sight to the blank check policy. So far, I believe we have sent the Ukrainians, over $100 billion. The UK has only sent them $2 billion. Americans are the biggest dummies, owned by the NWO globalist war mongers trying to start World War 3 with Russia or even a nuclear war if it comes to that!
