Supposedly, according to at least one study, Bessemer, Alabama (16 miles south of Birmingham) is the most dangerous city in all of the USA, where the odds of becoming a victim of crime are one in nine. And Birmingham itself is fifth on the list, said to have 98% more crime than most other communities in the state.It looks like I can save less than $100,000, and yet, be able to (hypothetically) purchase a house in Alabama straight away...
