Once again your claims about individual people are not scientific in any manner -- especially since many celebrities and athletes attempt to not publicly reveal their Covid reinfections. Effectively you are pushing claims about re-infections with no scientific basis -- which is just a way of promoting misinformation.

The science-based large-scale studies performed by multiple nations provide a clear scope on the number of reinfections and their frequency.

Let's remind you again. Unvaccinated individuals are over twice as likely to be re-infected. The unvaccinated are over 5 times as likely to get Omicron, more than 17 times likely to be hospitalized (more than 48 times for older adults), and over 97 times as likely to die. The numbers are very stark in showing the benefits of Covid vaccination.

Yes... this study has been covered before and the article snippets you posted fail to provide the entire context of the study results. But we know that you snipping headlines and not providing the complete article(s) is deliberate -- because when content is provided the recommendations based on the study details are very different than the narrative you are pushing. But you already know this -- because we have seen anti-vaxxers pushing this NY & CA study before in these forums -- only the be fact-checked with the reality. Only during 8 weeks of the overall study period (May to November) was "natural immunity" found to be "superior" to vaccination during the Delta wave. This is due to the initial vaccinations were waning by this time late in the study period and boosters were needed.

Of course vaccination is the safest.Nobody is recommending people purposely try to catch covid to get natural immunity.

I personally know two Republican congressmen that have had Covid twice and not once was it leaked to the media about any of their Covid infections...they are not on anyone's list for documenting reinfections.

It's private info as it should be and I'm sure in the hell will not mention them by name at an anonymous forum. The point I'm making is that V.I.P. people are not going to openly discuss their "Covid Reinfection"... it's an embarrassment unless it's leaked to the media.

• As I keep stating, it's much easier to document vaccinated breakthrough infections than reinfections even among V.I.P. people.

Also, as stated multiple times, it was only last summer that the United States begin documenting reinfections, and it requires a very complex series of documents of the genomic sequencing to verified its in fact reinfection...it's extremely expensive too.

In fact, only a few states have begun documenting reinfections since the summer of last year...they're doing < 5% genome sequencing verification of all of their Covid positive tests. Instead, the few states are doing testing for reinfection...they're doing such via the lame testing of the recently sent out free home test kits.

Maryland is one of those few states that do any type of Reinfection data gathering within the United States. Look closely at the below number for reinfections in just one state and that's only via the recent free home test kits sent out. More importantly, most states are not doing any type of testing for reinfections...that's a huge chunk of our population that we do not know have had Covid multiple times.

The dashboard shows the state is approaching a major milestone — 1 million confirmed cases — though the tally is likely far higher, as many people are not tested or have taken at-home rapid tests, the results of which aren’t included in the state’s count. Don't be naive and think reinfections are not occurring. They are occurring regardless of how many people you can name that are politicians or athletes. The fact has been the same since the 1990s...the United States does a very poor job in genome sequencing of infectious diseases involving viruses.

Nothing has changed with Covid considering it's still one of the worst countries that only does 2.5 - 5% genome sequencing of the Covid positive tests.

The reason is that the U.S. doesn't have the funding and people really don't care.

By end of 2022, there should be more states than a few that document their Reinfections as part of their normal Covid statistics. As stated, I prefer to look at the general population statistics instead of looking at VIP people.

P.S. Baron (owner of ET) has been infected with Covid...three times...although I don't know if his reinfections were verified by genomic sequencing.

I personally know 8 people who had vaccinated breakthrough cases and told everyone. However the additional 100 people I personally know; 80 who are vaccinated and 20 who are not, never disclosed any information about Covid cases they had. But still to me the vaccinated breakthrough rate is 4 times the reinfection rate due to the 10 people I know who disclosed their Covid diagnoses."
