He is in no danger, with his profile he will be kept perfectly safe. Knowing him he may stage a stabbing or other. Men like him make noise, make money and gain celebrity, they don't fix problems in the longer term.
I grew up near strong Sinn Fein/IRA families. I saw from 1972 when it really kicked off and for maybe 10 years the 'new' IRA did provide policing and such in areas where there was none. But the world changed around them becoming more decent and fair and the men like 'Tommy Robinson' in the conflict did not. This resulted in them dragging on sectarianism 'The Troubles' for far longer, a couple of decades, than it would have naturally run. Similar in Colombia also.
Conservative societies dig their heels in when forced by bullies, you may have noticed that. The UK's extremist nationalist party leader and future Alex Jones is not really helping anyone, guys like him never do except as a moral hazard lesson.
While it is first amendment wild west in the US I guess, judges order "reporting restrictions" sometimes until the case is over in the UK. Our boy breached these with prejudice and really and truly put large and complex trials of these sex grooming gangs at risk of the defense arguing the jury has been unfairly biased etc. So who was he helping? Certainly not the victims of the case he screwed around with and was sentenced for.
He had already been convicted so like anyone out on license, he was just taken to serve his remaining sentence. No conspiracy and he completely deserved it.
I'm mostly Irish so I don't go out of my way to defend the British on their double edged gifts to humanity however remember that the US would not have any notions of the individual's right being protected against the state without them. Guilty until proven innocent is the norm in the rest of the world and the US can thank the UK for a lot there.
It is dangerous in the extreme to let opportunistic creeps like "Tommy Robinson", Alex fucking Jones and others KKK rims to try and dictate reality like this.
I may well agree with anger against men in the Pakistani community of Rotherham and nearby however this is the age old balance between vigilantism and rule of law. Sometimes the law is bad or the execution is bad. The UK is made up of different counties each with their own police HQs and policing/political culture though one set of law. Parliamentary variations in Scotland, Wales and NI of course. Inter-force co-operation is problematic and inconsistency exists like US states applying federal law.
You can be certain that in other UK north and midland counties with large Pakistani Muslim populations (they are seriously backwards) there was copycat grooming however these gangs were aggressively pursued in other counties. South Yorkshire sure as shit had policing problems, they were doing a lot of victim blaming and trying to pass workload off to social services. Changes at the top were needed in that force. It happened late but it happened and hopefully will stay on track.
