U.S. tech leaders sound alarm over Trump immigration ban

I'm a deplorable and proud of it. But you, you can't handle the truth, hurt your girly feelings huh ...

No hurt feelings when someone resorts to childish name calling. When that happens, I know where I stand and where they stand.

What I am proud of (as an American) is how many people from all over the spectrum are standing up against this order.

Makes you wonder if Trump did this to distract the population from something else? Kinda like him tweeting to distract people from his Trump University lawsuit.

1. Because the individuals who are coming aren't in a position to change their own countries. Their own countries are stuck becaue of a civil war, corrupt beauracracy, or stagnant social structure. Most immigrants come here to build a better life than they could have and are willing to work hard for it. That's the American way. And America is better off for it.

2. Religious Extremism is this case is anyone who uses an extremely literal and often extra-literal translation of religious documents to oppress other people. There are LOTS of Christian extremists in this country. There are many in Europe too. Should we blanket ban all Christians from America because of those extremists.

1. It's all about mindset. The don't want any change there. The change always comes from the people at the bottom. There is a good reason why the Western people ( AKA Christians ) are successful and they are not. The reason is the mindset. Whom are they running from? From the Americans or from themselves?
2. What is Islamic extremism & why? Or maybe it does not exist as was indicated by Obama.

All these "protests" are paid for by CAIR and George Soros. So where were the protests when Obama banned Iraqi immigrants for six months?

Exactly. As an American electrical engineer with a degree from a good school, my services don't come cheap. Too bad, tech companies. If you think that is an easy degree to get, try it...

The IEEE debunked the whole fake "American Tech Worker Shortage bs:" http://spectrum.ieee.org/at-work/education/the-stem-crisis-is-a-myth. What is true is that tech companies don't want to pay for American tech workers.
I'm also an American with an EE from a decent school, and I hire the same. It's virtually impossible to hire someone like you or I for less than twice what I'd pay to hire a civil or mechanical engineer with the same background. That's a classic shortage situation. You like that obviously, it allows you to earn far more than others with similar background and education (and so do all our fellow EEs at IEEE!). Bit it's suboptimal from an economics perspective, especially when you have a ready supply to ease the shortfall.

1. Many stay and try to make their home countries better. I'm pretty sure you haven't contributed to making America the greatest country in the world - not as much as many of the muslim and even illegal immigrants have.

2. Why the pivot in your argument about semantics?

1. I am not convinced this is the case unless you mean they have successfully made their home countries the greatest countries in the world.
2. I take it as you are not sure of the answer. But that's the salient quality of the lib dogmatists, they just see what's on the surface and refuse to look at what's lurking beneath.
Once again, define Islamic extremism if you can.

I think you are confusing too many issues.

What does the term Islamic extremist have to do with anything? Are you saying all muslims are terrorists? Are you saying all terrorists are muslims?

How do you feel that they are already backtracking on detaining greencard holders. Kinda makes a lot of your arguments moot doesn't it?

If watching TV and surfing internet does not make you understand the Islamic Extremism then no one else can give you an idea of it. You will understand it well if/when hit by it. There is serious problems with jihadi extremism around the world. You give them little bit of leeway and they will want to take another dozen yards.

On the other hand Trump getting surrounded and influenced by Nazi elements is not good for America. Very soon we will see reactions from domestic elements who oppose such policies. Then it will be either Trump and team resign and go away or modify their agenda and actions to genuinely tend to US interests in economics.

Trump DOES NOT have an economic turnaround agenda for the US. On the contrary, his policies will pile up more debt and create more stress on the middle and poor class. The Nazi agenda of his advisors will surely put US at war against foreign powers and at the time the kids from middle and lower class will be called to visit the front lines and face the bullets while the rich will sip wine in cosy living rooms while watching events on the media channels.

George W. Bush was surrounded by the NEOCONs who piled Iraq War 2003 on him. Result was messed up US economy, 5K killed, 30K injured or crippled. Up to 1 million Iraqis were killed as a result of civil war and that unleashed more Jihadi elements and hatred towards the US. Iraq still in shambles and ISIS taken over nearly half of that country.

Trump surrounded by "out in the face" NAZI elements can push US into something of more a serious mess like real or trade war with China or whole Islamic world combined.

Bottomline is Economic Turnaround managers are needed. Politicians and Political ideologues/crackpots please go away.
