For the first time, the debate over the possibility of the U.S. defaulting on its loan is floating in the media in earnest. The Congress has raised the debt ceiling for like, uhmm, more than I care to count and it appears they won't stop any time soon. The point is that the debt is so astronomical at this point, nobody believes it can ever be paid back. It will take multi-generation to pay off the debt, if ever. Seriously, didn't all great empires of the past collapsed alike due to debt crisis? Why are we repeating the past?

You forgot an option in your poll.... Oct 18th 2021. Therefore I cannot vote in it.

Has the USA ever defaulted before?

No.

And then I heard that fuckmonger Pelosi come out with some shit-digger nonsense about how a section of the Constitution talked about the "full faith and credit of the US". I was floored. It's like, well, BITCHLIPS, since you are supposed to uphold the constitution as part of your oath of office, STOP PLAYING POLITICAL GAMES WITH THE SHITFUCKS IN THE SENATE! DO YOUR JOB AND PROTECT OUR COUNTRY FROM FINANCIAL COLLAPSE YOU CUNT!

I do not like her, and all of her ilk.

Special place in hell for this one.

Out of control deficit spending is like default. If we didn't have all our allied banks doing same we would already be in trouble.

BOJ, ECB, RBA, et al. are working with us on this. :)

Yap, yap, yap.. except whenever there's a suggestion of cutting military spending by a few % suddenly I can hear the flies fly, or is it the dogs barking?
Cut the US military budget by 20% for 10 years and put some teeth into the IRS ability to go after bs loopholes of corporations and billionaires and we should be well our our way to be deficit free in 10 years time.
