For the first time, the debate over the possibility of the U.S. defaulting on its loan is floating in the media in earnest. The Congress has raised the debt ceiling for like, uhmm, more than I care to count and it appears they won't stop any time soon. The point is that the debt is so astronomical at this point, nobody believes it can ever be paid back. It will take multi-generation to pay off the debt, if ever. Seriously, didn't all great empires of the past collapsed alike due to debt crisis? Why are we repeating the past?
