Which is why he both did the right thing in stepping in to stop the massacre, and not lead the initiative by waiting for a general consensus among other nations, including the Arab League. In this way, the US has an important but not primary role in being a responsible global citizen in a general region where it also has important allies and interests. In retrospect, I think Obama walked the fine line capably and played it as well as he could have against any number of competing viewpoints.

I'm sorry, but this does not fit in the evaluation framework we have for Obama, as it yields a positive outcome. Please choose one of the four that have been supplied.

I didn't catch any articles in the media about the U.S. Congress convening and voting in favor of an official declaration of war against Libya as stipulated by the U.S. Constitution, but I'm sure this must have happened and I just missed it.

That's only necessary if you follow the rules and of course democrats don't follow the rules.

In fairness to Obama, I would have given him my undying support had he come out and simply said "I resign effective immediately, as I am in way over my head" So you can add a fifth acceptable scenario to the list. :D

The way the world is right now everyone is in over their head.

Clearly, Obama and his advisors have lost their heads. The march toward Rome accelerates.

Clearly, Obama and his advisors have lost their heads. There is more common sense on this thread than in current admonistration.

I admonish you to consider that we here on P&R have it all figured out because our armchairs give us a tremendous advantage our leaders don't have. ; )
