Two 15 year successful day traders, why is one protective and other Isn't

Quote from QuantPlus:

First of all...
NO ONE running a successful trading business has time to "teach"...
Unless their are hiring...
So the basic premise of this thread is BS.

People may talk or promote themselves...
In the hope of finding investors...
Or just to inflate their ego...
And even be very open...
But this is not "teaching"...
Because success in this business cannot be "taught".

.

you are WRONG, completely wrong

Trading method you use is complicated, I know very well what you do, because I used to be a quant myself

the hours spent downloading and analyzing data only people like you and me know

BUT later I learned that what you do is completely unnecessary

dude my trading is without preparation at all

damn felt like teaching for a moment

Try this on for size:

Your bud looks at those individuals he shares with as a reaffirmation of his own success. If any of those individuals duplicate or come close to duplicating his success then he sees that what he is doing is correct, accurate and sustainable. They also can add to his own success by returning the favor by sharing their own snippets of information they see in his success and methods.

You on the other hand, having worked hard for your results, don't want to share and possible dilute the edge you have created for yourself. This isn't the case though. You don't believe it actually takes a rare trader to follow the path of another trader and duplicate any successes they obtain. That is because 95% of all traders are "patience-free". The average trader has the patience of a knat. The above average trader is able to focus on his determined task-at-hand.

Neither of you is wrong or right. Each of you are individuals and should be respectful of that. Leave it alone, go have a few beers, enjoy your profits and relax.

Congratulations on both of your successes!

I think we have a winner :)

They isn't a single thing in your 27 posts...
That would indicate that you are, in fact, a Pro Trader...
Let alone a successful one.

It took me about 90 seconds to skim all of them.

But don't worry...
You can fool most of the people here most of the time.

"9toros"

Looks like "Joab" just put an "arm bar" on you ...

Are you going to "tap out" ... ?

... (Apologies to non-mixed martial arts fans) ...

what part of I DO NOT TEACH don't you understand, I am not willing to give you my edge.

look quant guy, you are blind, you are completely blind

what you are doing is extracting an edge using all kinds of
combinations, but if you remain in this game for a while, you
will realize that you are a fool

you need to ask yourself why aren't I IN THE trade RIGHT NOW

ask yourself

why do I believe that right now I don't have an edge so I need wait for a signal to form.

and it would help if you actually realized that we all have selective intelligence in some form.

for example I know I am a better trader than you

but you could be better programer (see what I mean)
