$TSLA

Your buyer at 85, seems to have performed a houdini, while others have the spread at 8 fitty!

And yet Tesla remains resistant to the idea of raising more equity, despite questions about it on the call. For now, the message is that demand is strong, even though Tesla has been cutting prices just like any other car-maker does when inventory is up and they are trying to move metal. As the stock’s multiple suggests, faith in Tesla’s guidance remains strong for many investors. But the cash balance speaks to a narrowing margin of error. If the stock market hasn’t necessarily caught on to that, the bond market seems a little more ahead of the game.

Dear Cornholio,

Spread? That's the yield, numbnuts. It's not the NBBO!

The spread they are referring to is the yield over similar B- rated corps (400bp). And Ts (600bp). Uhhh, what 850 (sic) spread are you referring to?

lol and the bonds were trading under 85 yesterday equating to a yield of 8.5%.

How long have you been on Goldman's HY desk?

Don’t make me block you. A Kia? Ever pass on the freeway? You posted a Nurburgring video.

You compared a high performance machine to a model 3. Yes the acceleration is impressive but the vehicle dynamics are average. And yes acceleration will make up for subpar vehicle dynamics, (ie coming out of a corner, up to a point) let's just not get caught up on Elon's or web magazine dick riding press releases.

Having said all that, electric can dominate in short races (Hill climbs like Pike's peak or setting track records).

Dude, it's a 3 second 0-60. AWD. That's the comparison. You want to make it a track car. It's a commuter car that will kill almost anything on the freeway.

99.99% of buyers never climb Pike's peak nor driven on tracks. If you however wish to do that you should not buy a Tesla but a Volkswagen.
