Possibly you could explain it. How can you over sell something? Every transaction has a buyer and a seller and both believe they made the right decision.

"Oversold" seems to be a relative term. Something can only be "oversold" if has been sold too much relative something else.

Most of the time, when someone says a stock is oversold, they mean "it has fallen too far too fast in my opinion."

For example, TSLA is still very much overbought, that is it has risen too far, too fast ... in my [@Rams Fan's] opinion.

"Oversold" and "overbought" don't really represent any meaningful reality.
