Trump's Presidency At Crossroads

I don't envy Trump. It's no fun being hated by the media and most of celebrityville, particularly for a guy who catered to those constituencies before he took up politics.

He can't even rely on his own party. Most of them despise him and fervently wish they could come up with a way to impeach him or drive him from office. Fear of his supporters is the only thing restraining them.

There is an organized drive to get rid of any advisors who are not part of the DC/globalist establishment. Gen. Flynn was an early casualty. Steve Bannon is the next nail sticking up and he seems to have been hammered down somewhat today.

Trump foolishly signed on to Ryancare, then got into a pointless and counterproductive fight with the Freedom Caucus, which is practically the only congressional group whose members largely supported him.

Now, the neo con warmongers, who oddly are suddenly held in the highest esteem by the media, are braying for war with Syria and by extension, Russia. This while he is already agonizing over the intractable North Korean situation.

While the mexico wall moves slowly forward, congress clearly has no interest in funding it and will likely try to trade to for more money for defense contractors.

Congress itself wants to jump straight into what it does best, cutting deals for lobbyists. That of course means tax "reform." Of all the things the pitchfork crowds that voted Trump into office were upset about, cutting taxes for rich people and big corporations was at the bottom of the list. So of course, that is where Paul ryan and McConnell want to go.

Ryan is like a perpetual flame of bad ideas, all delivered with pompous certitude and lectures about having to make sacrifices. His sacrifices generally come straight from the pocketbooks of Trump's core supporters and go to the benefit of globalist corporations. If you thought Ryancare was a disaster, wait for his tax reform.

Trump badly needs to get control of this process and ask himself long and hard who his friends are and who got his ass elected. Otherwise he could be a one term failure if he even lasts that long.

Yeah well said, I feel the same way, its starting to look like a clusterfuck, Bannon outing caused the market to tank the first time but it recovered, then the fed came in and stuck the dagger in, with Syria, and North Korea now on the table people are now looking at the market and saying ok, that was the final straw, hence the pukeage today.

We started out looking good today, people were back in "party mode" then the sentiment changed when all of all the toxic issues hit, cause people started to rethink. But dfinitely feels like today might have been a tipping point, Trump better come up with something over the next few days or its going to be a long summer for the economy the market, and his presidency.

If Clinton were allowed control of the "evil abyss" this country would have been driven over the edge of no return, with SCOTUS being the last nail in the coffin. At least with Trump there's still a shimmer hope.

True. I just want him to hold on. If he does nothing else, he has stopped most of the Obama agenda. That is a huge positive.

We note this because we're critical of those on our side of the aisle. We don't just blindly follow them no matter what.

What you mean the guy quoting ISIS to disparage his political opponents is a partisan? :D
