Go to Venezuela and Cuba .... and tell the people that it's a right wing tactic.
Go to Nazi Germany or the inquisition and tell them it's left wing tactics. Basically what the hell does Venezuela have to do with "cancel culture"?
Removing ALL identifiable insignia is not about doxxing, there is no reason to remove the agency they work for other than the symbolism of doing so. This is an intentional move to get a reaction from serious people and to escalate.
Venezuela's left-wing government has cancelled many people by making them magically disappear.
Bottom Line: There are more socialist left-wing governments around the earth who have made people disappear over the last decades than right-wing governments. This is true whether you count the number of people they eliminated or the total number of governments. Mao in China leads with over 35 million dead and Stalin in the Soviet Union with over 20 million dead are the two leaders in disappearing & eliminating people. Hitler with 6 million dead comes in a distant third place.
Maybe they should not be rioting, damaging a federal court house and attempting to hurt federal law enforcement officials. It's not like the Feds went to their home with a van due to their political opinions; they are being arrested due to their directly observed violence.

It’s common practice with units when dealing with terrorists, cartels and such. Protects personal and family from retaliation.
