Sometimes you have to knock something down to build a better version of it. Especially if the current version is toxic.
Sometimes you have to weigh the costs vs. the rewards.
I think that's exactly what the millions of Trump supporters have done.
Corporate greed is a different subject. If Trump truly believed what he said, he wouldn't have dealt with the Chinese and sold it for less to an American buyer. If he will try to be isolationist ONLY when it benefits America, there won't be many friends left for the country.
History always repeats itself. People throw the baby out with the bathwater, when it's too late they realize what happened.
I understand. It's always different when liberals look internally then when they look at conservatives.
When Trump was a CEO, his job was to maximize profit, IRR, EBIT, etc. So he performed actions that met those ends. If Trump is the President, the country becomes his company and his actions would be in line with furthering the goals of the country. I see no disconnect, and I'm not even a Trump voter/supporter.

His business record is terrible from what I now so the supporters should hope he runs the country much better than his companies.
Not American so can't vote. I don't agree with all Trump criticisms but he is pushing the buttons of simple because who don't understand the bigger picture. It's easy to go for the low hanging fruit like "illegal Mexicans" but it doesn't solve anything for the country.
