$1000 to every American....with an administrative cost of $2000 per, would be my guess.

Is $1000 really the difference between life as we know it and Chinese coronavirus hell? Seriously, that's 1 months rent for a okay apartment in the middle of the country

Hey do not knock it, at the rate the markets are going down just think of how many shares you will be able to buy with that $1000.00.

If you are fortunate enough to have a brokerage account, you probably don't need $1000. That's my issue. I don't even want that $1000...but I'll take it. I just wish they could have come up with something a little more impactful for the people who may be needing it.
