Trump threatens Chicago - Stop the Murder, or the FED's are coming in !!

Trump likely has several thousand FBI agents with hopefully very little to do soon. Remember FBI agents are the investigators of the DOJ who've been harassing local law enforcement en masse at sonic speeds under the Dems. Many of those investigative teams can brush up on their gang, drug, gun, and old fashioned street crime training and perhaps do some good partnering with Chicago police instead of always investigating cops. Violent crime task forces with Federal resources can be very effective when combined with the locals. Relentless prosecution of violators (without violating civil rights) and giving them Fed time for drug and gun charges actually can work.

For many decades when crime or riots are out of control in a city, the National Guard has regularly been placed in the city by either the federal or state government.

Since when is protecting civilian lives from criminals akin to the National Guard being an "occupying force"... your analogy is absurd.
