Trump Rally Canceled for Safety Reasons

More snark, and no further argument.
Oh, the argument has concluded well before that. You just didn't know it yet. You were mired in false equivalency, accusing Obama of being equally incendiary as Trump. But if you are not quite so astute as to recognize metaphor in one and literal reference in the other, then you only had to look at the direct outcome resulting from both men's references. Only one man's comments directly resulted in altercations and are therefore correctly characterized as incendiary. But you are too busy focusing on straws to grasp to realize that which is directly in front of you.

Ah, so because only one man's comments resulted in altercations from your standpoint, then only one man's comments were provocative. I see how your mind works. Scary!

Trump can say whatever he wants, so long as no one acts on it, is that it?

Additionally, if Trump uses metaphor or simile or whatever, it's acceptable. I can see it now: "MSM was saying I was inciting violence, but they obviously didn't see where I used 'like' or 'as'! I never said Michelle Obama was fat. I said she was as fat as a house!"

You continue to be burdened by false equivalency. Especially when one was speaking in obvious metaphor to presumably thinking people (who didn't subsequently go and punch someone out). And the other explicitly goaded his followers to beat up dissenters and offered to pay their legal fees.

It is perhaps how your mind doesn't work that should scare you. Maybe you're not quite ready for prime time.

If "prime time" is a place where you and your ilk gather, then I don't want to ever be ready for it.

So, if metaphor, good - say whatever you want. If no action from others on metaphor, even better.

Depends on audience and context. You know and understand both. Or at least I thought you did. Bear in mind that if you act like a doofus then you will be treated as one. O-k-a-y?

A very simple point is being overlooked. Trump has never encouraged attacks on people just because they support someone else. That is what the left does. All his comments have been directed at people who came to his rallies for the express purpose of disrupting them and threatening and intimidating other attendees. The thugs and terrorists in Chicago came to Trump's rally looking for trouble, not the other way around.

Here's an example of the left's respect for freedom of expression and dissenting opinion. http://wtop.com/prince-william-coun...ays-shes-facing-harassment-vandalism/slide/2/

Courageous leftists have targeted the modest home of a 70 year old woman who had the temerity to put a trump sign in her yard. They stole the sign, spray painted the side of her house with threatening slogans, shined car lights into her house for 20 minutes late at night, shouted death threats to her, etc etc.

Keep it up leftist thugs because we are beyond fed up. Some of these goons are going to get some serious payback. The faculty lounge radicals like Obama's buddy Bill Ayers might just run into some ironworkers who like Trump and the jobs he will bring.

If true, that's very unfortunate. Perhaps the white supremacists, who are Right Wingers and support Trump, will peacefully march in protest.

How about a real simple solution... If you don't like a candidate stay out of their rallies instead of trespassing and causing a scene. Go somewhere else and hold your own.

I don't see Hillary or Bernie rallies being infiltrated by hordes of thugs set on disruption. Well actually I do recall Sanders being forced to cancel one of his due to a BLM protest but Republicans are not disrupting Democratic functions.

It's the Far Left that has a violence problem.
