Perhaps not his finest moment. But where he was quoting Sean Connery playing good guy Jim Malone in The Untouchables, he was speaking in obvious metaphor. The Donald was speaking in anything BUT metaphor. Most people would understand the difference, as evidenced by outcome.

As I said, it wasn't his finest moment, if only because it would most assuredly be taken out of proper context, which, in fact, it has. But you and I both know the context and the metaphor. And we both know the context and literal sense of what Trump said. But it doesn't serve your purpose to admit it. And so you don't.
I know you'll be surprised at this, but I am not forced to agree with your point of view. If I don't "admit" something, it's because I don't believe in it.
