You are at your smartest between posts.Slavery has always been a leftist tenet. Conservatives and Republicans have never embraced slavery.
Not going to drift all over the place with you as you lose your focus.
But in general, this is just basic Judicial Rulings 101, where- as part of the remedy phase and ruling of the decision- the courts get to decide whether decisions that adversely affect parties are to be applied retro-actively or going forward or pursuant to a negotiated agreement between the parties on various elements. And would apply to this issue at hand.
Done on this topic for today. Thank you for playing.

I'm not the one blindly kissing Trump ass. That would be under your purview. Your apparent efforts at deflection suggest that you're conflicted. I would have thought that you would readily acknowledge your affinity to his hind quarters judging by your shameless posts praising his every fuck-up. Seems you are of two minds (neither of which amounts to much). You certainly do, Fredrika!
Frankly I would not have a problem with the second amendment being revisited to take out some of the ambiguity. I'm not opposed to bringing the constitution into the 21st century. I know that sets me apart from many of my conservative friends, but many of our current day problems are the result of outdated ideology. This would take a congress that actually wanted to solve problems rather than exploit them on the never ending campaign trail. Ain't gonna' happen. You mean like the 2nd one should be amended (into oblivion)?
