For all your long posts, you are not a very critical thinker, you swallow that demented moron's flawed arguments without any logical process of your own. Conservatism is nothing but low effort thinking, either trained or genetic.
Seriously, I was thinking the same about you and Slartibartfast. You are both smart guys but something seems to be missing. Whether it is related to difficulties in seeing cause and effect, not able to see the big picture, or not able to correlate someone's personality or motivations with predictable actions, I don't know.
I don't see you or Slartibartfast as bad people. Indeed, I am impressed by Slartibartfast's diverse background and trading skill. Perhaps a cause of our different views of Trump is related to our own preconceived notions.
You convinced me that Trump University was a scam. I hate both George Bush's more than you do. OK, maybe we hate them equally. I was part of a anti-Iraq war II protest group. I am still a long term registered Democrat. I recognize some of the underhanded things the Republican's have changed the political landscape such as cleaning up their act and then "exposing" financial "sloppiness" concerning Congress banking transactions. The Monica and Bill show was BS. At least it appeared to backfire politically on the Republicans. After the Republicans suffered politically, It is my understanding there was retaliation in the form of increased police harassment related to questions of honesty.
I try to be open minded and consider multiple points of view. Before taking a position, it is probably best if we first try to see through the eyes of the other side and initially take the opposing position, as in playing Devil's advocate. Then and only then, can one feel they have a solid basis for their opinion.
Trump has many significant personal issues. Trump also has world class skills, such as reading people and situations. I have talked about the techniques he uses to quickly get to the heart of an issue in other posts. To an outsider, this technique may look like babbling. Trump is not the smartest, but he knows, at least to a degree, how to leverage other people's expertise.
There are many problems in DC. Let's pray that Trump will come up with effective solutions to these known problems of corruption involving power and money.
