you forget the role of the jester. He is the only one who can make fun of the emperor without being executed. Same goes for Bernie. After listening to both of them, Hillary and Jeb seem pretty presumptuous and silly.

"...Odumbo said, "American needs to be transformed"... and by that he meant, as we all know now... (1) America needs to be torn down as a world economic and influential power, and (2) America needs to me more like Socialist Europe.

Who benefits from that? Certainly not Americans.

Didn't we already go through this when single mothers said we shouldn't keep score at their son's sporting events? It's just a game and you need some friendly competition to keep it fun.

When the competition gets ugly, like it did in Viet Nam...well, you know what happened

I'm not a Trump fan. I'd rather have Cruz. But if Trump is the nominee, and is then elected, I will enjoy watching the establishment get shaken to its core from our nice quiet family farm in Wisconsin.

I personally think modern politics is a total joke, from which the nightly talking heads are making a fortune. I believe the big picture is important. Capitalism vs Socialism, Repub vs Dem, Lib vs Con. But, even though I'm a Con Repub, I probably won't watch more than 10 minutes per year of Bill O'Reilly or Megan Kelly. Or shows on the other side of the dial. I have better things to worry about, and watching their shows simply makes me angry. And that's what they are supposed to do. And unfortunately, it is working. Everywhere.

Not sure how I got to the TV show thing, but honestly, I would like a non establishment guy to come in and say "Sit the fuck down and shut up. You don't know what you are talking about, and this is why you guys have messed up the country so badly with your policies." Is Trump the guy? I don't know. I'm not sure i trust him. That's why I prefer Cruz. But something has to change. And we sure as hell don't a socialist, especially when the kids today don't even know the meaning of the word.

I live in a great place out in the country. Incredible views, a vineyard, the occasional cow chasing to get them on the right side of the fence. Good times. But it's incredibly hard work. Work most people aren't willing to do. Bottom line is we've earned it.

But a lot of people out there don't care if you've earned it. They care that you have it, and they don't have it, and they don't want you to have what they don't have. And the politicians know this. So the politicians will create policies to make the lazy and weak happy. Absurd policies which might make you lose your farm. I've seen it happen. Why? To get votes. God, I hate politics and politicians in general.

Poli Sci 101, I know. But things need to be shaken up somehow.

Thanks for letting me rant.

The Economist thinks a Trump presidency would be a global risk of the same order as jihadi terrorism:

Ditto here, though I disagree with you on the worth of O'Reilly. I live in a nice place, too. Worked for it. 6 years in college, paid for school myself*. Never had a paid vacation other than when I was in the military. Never even had the leisure of a salary. Not complaining about any of that. My choices. My wise, hard-working grandfather told me, "The world doesn't owe you a living... make something of yourself". And, "If you plan on eating regular, you also better plan on working".

All of this Lefty, big government, wealth redistribution, "50% of the population living at the expense of the rest of us" + the immigration threat crap makes me not only angry... worries me about the future of our country and my younger family.

In addition... thanks to "progressive income tax rates", I feel like I've been victimized by my government virtually every day of my adult life!

* I was denied financial aid from my college... because I am "a white male and a Vietnam war veteran". Can you imagine that sort of thing today??
