Trump eliminates pay raises for civilian federal employees

You are confusing the Federal reserve with the Govt.

The Fed was buying back mortgages and other almost worthless securities on its own account not the governments. It was allowing its buying agents to front run them. Here is the Fed Reserves balance sheet.

It has nothing to do with the governments balance sheet.

When operation twist was in full play and the government through the fed was buying trillions of mortgage back bonds and the economy was not doing as strong as it is today.

Every time before a major buggering of an economy people stick fingers in their ears and la-la-la their way through the last two years when they know the numbers don't make sense.

Sooo...last time was the last President.

Obama inherited a structural deficit of over $1 trillion, more like $1.2 and handed off a deficit of less than $600 billion.

You will never in your life see a president reduce the deficit as much as obama in total dollars or as a percentage.

Conversey, Bush holds the record for deficit increases. He actually inherited a surplus and handed off over a trillion in deficit.

Trump is off to a start very similar to W. I would not be bringing up deficits if I was a Republican voter. There’s only so long you guys can pretend to care about deficits until you start getting laughed at.

If I was a Republican I would start thinking about the merits of the massive deficits you guys have voted for.

Working people?
I thought we were talking about government employees.

This is the type of flippant comment that proves how thoughtless Trump supporters really are.

The government is responsible for major public goods and services. It is a massive operation that covers everything from the air we breathe, to the food we eat, to healthcare we receive, to the worthiness of our investments. It cannot be understated how important government is to all of our lives on the fundamental level.

Implying the people who work for the government don’t do work, or their work is not important is just ignorant.

Meh. I used to be a drudge, then I was a professional and then I was an owner. What I’ve learned is the higher up you go, the less “work” you do and the more you become responsible.

I’m sure the people processing Medicare claims work circles around Jaime Diamond.
