Good points. One problem is Trump doesn't have the usual deep bench of political hangers-on to choose from that anyone else who gets elected president will have from a career in politics.

The other problem is he is surrounded by NY democrats and there is not a lot of religious diversity among them, so he is dependent on who they suggest for these slots. Bannon is just one guy and is being shut out.

Other than the EOs on immigration and the appointment of Sessions, we are getting the exact same thing we would have received from a Jeb Bush administration. Which means it is not that different from a Hillary administration. Which is not what we voted for. It's early, let's be patient. Trump is no fool and betting against him has been a bad play.
