Trump defends against rape charges by saying 'You cannot rape your spouse'

Because Trump shows no ability to censor anything he says. That's called a lack of diplomacy. In politics, particularly foreign policy, it's not an attribute I prefer in my President.

Moderating his words would likely come later. Right now, it's "wake 'em up" time, don't you think? And so what if his mouth sometimes runs a bit ahead of his brain? If he does something about the southern border, illegal aliens, something on the jobs front... those would reasons enough for him to be POTUS. The other candidates aren't going to do any of that. At least Trums says he's going to do something... the rest are just milktoast pussies... not going to do anything to upset the party elites.

Personally, I'm not interested in (nor do I believe we can survive) another administration of "Anti-America Lefty BS" nor one of "Lefty Lite" from the GOP wimp candidates.

Some things are show stoppers. When a candidate stands up and implies that he should be able to force himself on his wife at any point, that turns off most voters. You may think it's no big deal - or even concede it was a gaffe, but it's not something you say when you're running for the highest office in the land. When you see a pattern emerge (and it has) of these types of gaffes, then you begin to question the individual's character.

I will grant you that Trump is refreshing. It's nice to see someone not care about the media and do what he wants, say what he wants. Hopefully, his positions will force debate on a whole host of topics that politicians haven't had the balls to bring up. Additionally, while the media is so obsessed on him, they're ignoring the rest of the field - which serves as a bullet magnet to protect everyone else.

But there, in my opinion, is where his usefulness ends.

Don't you think you have to cut Trump slack, at least for a while? He's used to being the Big Kahuna in his world. Never needed to be political. The others are professional politicians... they are so couched in everything they say, they mostly stand for nothing except for some version of the status quo.... and we've already had too much of that.

Trump could turn out to be a lot worse than Odumbo, if he decides to provoke war with incendiary commentary. He doesn't have a cool head, and that's essential in being President.

He might be more likely to make deals than wars. They might actually be good deals for the US. You never know. I read somewhere that his loudness will tone down considerably as the field narrows. We'll see.

I still like SW, but I'm enjoying the Donald. He threatened to sue a journalist over the rape thing with his ex. I LIKE that in a candidate. I'm sick of phony conservatives giving in to the media tactics, and constantly being forced to defend actions they never even took. And that goes for Harry Reid's despicable tax accusation of Romney, so it's not just the media that uses that tactic.

About time some one says FU to all the left wing tactics (even though it's probably doubtful that Trump is a conservative).
