This seems to be complicated for you.
His supporters can want it all to end by Mueller just stopping the witch hunt. But if he wants to go full legal then they can also be in favor of just saying the hell with Mueller, it is not Trumps job to help accelerate his case and it may drag on for years- and meuller knows full well from many of his other cases that he can lose on appeal bigly based on the way he operates.
No conflict in those two positions whatsoever just because you cannot process it.
You will say you dont remember but others will recall that I have said many times from the get-go on this that Mueller and Weisman have a long, long history of being big swinging dicks - kicking doors in and all of that - but a lot of their fun ends when some defendant shows up with a full legal team- as trump has done and as one of the indicted russian/company has done. Starts getting thorny from there. The Russian defendant is demaning a speedy trial and telling meuller to just what he has to do but lets get going. Same position with Trump. Mueller can make offers and review counteroffers etc, but otherwise just do what you have to do. Mueller is the big ballbusting witchhunt who does scary things so why are we going back and forth about what Trump will and will not do. Go for it Mueller. You either win or end out demonstrating to the world that you dont have the goods.
Let me give you a clue, since you are clueless. Mueller does not want Trump to put him in a position where he has to put on a trial and either win or be humiliated on the obstruction or collusion charges. He knows how that will end. So he wants to create a perjury charge. We know that. Mueller knows that. Then he wants to put together a shit-package of allegations which he can't prove in court and hand it over to potentially a dem congress to do their impeachment dance. That's how he wants to get out of this by saving face. The last thing he wants is for a defendant to take him to trial. Especially if he was not given a chance to create a perjury crime and has to prove the collusion/obstruction thing. You may not know the implications of starting down the road to indictment just to scare Trump but Mueller knows how that could blow up on him. Just as happened with one of the russian defendants. Suddenly Mueller is confronted with someone asking the court to enforce their right to a speedy trial and telling the government to be ready in a month and to cut the shit.
Although with Trump being the President it would not go to speedy trial, the opposite would happen. It would trigger a dozen constitutional issues that would be on appeal for years. Which is another way of sidelining Mueller and getting him derailed and out of his face.
Go for it.
