Treyvon Martin issue is starting to irritate the hell out of me

Quote from bigarrow:

I've been in a fist fight or two and I've been on top and bottom.
Zimmerman was unprepared to confront a suspect and is reckless.
In Texas he'd be up for manslaughter charges at the least.
The lesson here, which Martin didn't know since he wasn't a fighter is you don't stop untill the opponent fleas or is knocked out and in this case Martin would of been justified in killing Zimmerman.

Manslaughter seems about right... But it happened in Florida...! Where they have their bullshit law. Either way... if Martin did what you advise he'd probably be the one in jail for manslaughter or one of the more serious "assault" charges. Zimmerman on the ground crying for help is no threat to him...

I advise getting the guy to quit... You know... Verbally... and then getting the hell out of there.

Quote from gwb-trading:

So how does this align with all of your statements that Martin jumped out of the bushes and surprise attacked Zimmerman.... well to provide the answer it does not align.

So why does Zimmerman have GRASS STAINS on his back when you claim Martin was beating him down on the sidewalk. There appears to be a failure with the story here also.

Because most sidewalks and curbs have grass planted next to them in most suburban neighborhoods...! You can fall with your back on the grass and your head on the sidewalk.

Show me where I said that. I don't think I said anything of the sort.

Maybe he was partly on the grass and partly on the cement. The witness who saw that part should be able to answer your question if asked. Are you saying the physical injuries to the back of Zimmerman's head and/or the grass stains on his shirt were planted by Zimmerman during the two minutes before the police arrived and no one saw him do this.

It seems to me that you are grasping at anything. For what reason I don't understand. I think the truth is more important than rooting for a certain outcome.

He bloodied the shooter in front and back of the head
...in this case Martin would of been justified in killing Zimmerman.
But not the other way around?

All the eyewitness 911 phone calls say that the scuffle occurred on the grass in someones yard. There is no evidence including physical evidence that place the scuffle took place within 6 feet of cement. But I am open to seeing what further information comes out regarding this. It can not be stated as a fact either way yet. The only way you get injuries on the back of your head and grass stains on your shirt back is if your head is over the sidewalk and body on the grass. I am not buying this based on the 911 calls and other information.

The other interesting information as demonstrated by the Anderson Cooper interview with Zimmerman's attorney is that they are unable to produce any hospital records to show that Zimmerman was injured despite requests from the Florida prosecutor and Martin's attorney. If I was Zimmerman's defense attorney I would be pulling out these records in an instant to demonstrate that my client was injured and the public condemnation is not deserved.

No not in this case, you can't start the conflict without taking responsibility for the outcome at least in some degree. And yes they would of charged Martin if he killed or knocked Zimmerman out, but at least he'd still be alive. I'd rather be alive than dead.
I'd bet a dollar to a donut that zimmerman wished he'd of listened to the dispatcher and not taken the law into his own hands. He knows he fucked up.

Maybe there was a rock in the grass or something. I don't know. Zimmerman was treated by paramedics at the scene and supposedly went somewhere for treatment the next day.

I think Zimmerman's attorney will keep his powder dry regarding medical records just incase some over zealous prosecuter decides to make a name for himself and prosecute the case. The police records already state his physical condition as bloody and witnesses heard him cry for help. That should be sufficient to show that he was under severe attack.

The state of Florida already has placed well-respected State Attorney Angela Corey on this case when they removed the local incompetent DA from office. This is not a situation where some "over zealous prosecuter decides to make a name for himself and prosecute the case". The case is being investigated by competent authorities now, and if appropriate, information will be placed in front of a grand jury several weeks from now in late April. At this point Zimmerman will either be indicted or not.
