How do traders deal with slippage other than using limit orders?...
Ya'll having fun, aside form the 30 point squirts in the dow, just looks like another fun day.
It is a cost of business unless you can buy at the bid and sell at the ask every time. Most products are so liquid it should not be a major deterrent if you can have a net+ gain.
trading doesnt suck...

I have been doing this for 7 years, the volatility of late has caused me pain. To help ease the pain I decided to quit day trading.
I cant quit, so I lost 3% in two weeks, big deal.

If you can't make money you should quit. Some people in spite of their 'experience' seem to be unable to make money. They get caught in the paralysis of analysis.
