On the AEL options calender straddles:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
(this I did 20-10)
Long 4 AEL Put Jul 2004 34,00 @ 3,40
Long 4 AEL Call Jul 2004 34,00 @ 2,30
Short 4 AEL Put Dec 2003 34,00 @ 1,80
Short 4 AEL Call Dec 2003 34,00 @ 0,90
stops:
Cover the short options when premium level has dropped to 1/3 of the original action.
Total premium = 1,50 so I will close out the position when the premium money is down to 0,50
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Current status:
AEL C Dec 2003 34.00 @ 0.80
AEL P Dec 2003 34.00 @ 1.15
AEL C Jul 2004 34.00 @ 2.15
AEL P Jul 2004 34.00 @ 2.95
Underlying at: 33.59
**UPDATE**
the stops on this one are changed to expiration of the shorter month options, in this case, the dec. 03 ones
**UPDATE**
Well what do you know, premium on the december options almost did not change, and the premium at the july options actually grew. This position is in a 15ct profit (which equals almost nothing after commish.)
============================================
As said before, daytrading dutch stock made me more unhappy then happy, and these 2 (although I wasnt too sure about the index straddles to start with, as you can see at the top of the journal) puppies are riding along just fine and make me sleep easy
Bad luck for the guys who like journals is that I dont mutate an awful lot in my positions, and this journal stays bo-ring. Maybe I get a nice money injection in the account this month, which will deliver the reader some action
