Hello! Long time did not post here, soon I will update our website as well.
The sad events are that two intelligent and valuable members left ET - Xela and Handle 123.
The good steps, despite what some members would like to stereotype and cover with lies, as this one https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/malicious-multinicks-stalking.323223/page-42#post-4702335,
are that:
- we have our trial settled for September 2019. By August 30 this year, parties should produce all the documents. We are having good chance to have some of our claims granted in summary judgment as soon as November this year.
- Privy Council gave us the permission to appeal against single judge decision and followed eviction, both in February 2018 This is not a permission to Appeal We hope to be successful in allowing our appeal.
Still not receiving a date from the Court of Appeal of the Bahamas - ( after 5 months, in 2016 we were granted the urgent hearing in 2 days) - for hopefully set aside the possession order of 2015.
This created an unimaginable pressure on my emotional state and prevented me from my active trading for now. But I am still determined to break through! We have already survived five months, which is a real miracle, considering that we have no funds, no rights to work in the Bahamas, no home. I am still posting here because despite their leave I hope Xela and Handle are still reading, and one day may return as well I know here there are five members, our precious five who signed the petition, thank you! There are a few other members whom I have met and respect and very glad to exchange PM with some of them and become friends.
In overall I am not changing my view of the revolutionary role of individual traders in the humankind progress, as Mr.Leo Melamed stated in his amazing poem
on the IMM's 10th anniversary entitled, "Who Were We!"
Who were we?
We were a bunch of guys who were hungry.
We were traders to whom it did not matter –
whether it was eggs or gold, bellies or
the British pound, turkeys or T-bills.
We were babes in the woods, innocents,
in a world we did not understand,
too dumb to be scared…
That the odds against us were too high;
That the banks would never trust us;
That the government would never let us;
That Chicago was the wrong place.
