Trading vs Gambling has been beaten to death. But what about Gaming. Thoughts on cross over skills?

None from actually playing the games, but from the game creation standpoint, I can see how that diving deep into the creative part of the mind can help you come up with an out-of-box strategy.

tbh though it didn’t talk too much about actual carryovers from gaming.

It helps more for shorter term trading, such as intraday.

Things that have directly helped me from gaming :
1)Execution. No second thoughts. Just do it.
2)Feel/Intuition. There's a flow that is better captured.

I know of two very good game players who became very wealthy at trading futures. One was expert at Poker, the other at Chess.

I'll put it this way: it doesn't hurt.

Mmmm...Poker and Chess is not "gaming" per se. I think the OP meant video games.

Helps with reaction speed and timing. And puzzle solving. Doesn't help with risk management lol.

Even simple tetris is good

I'll put this another way: if DRW is looking at two academically similar recruits from MIT and they're only going to hire one - they would favor the candidate who showed some prowess at games involving risk and critical problem solving.
