That is hilarious. It is true. I used to work operations for an airline at JFK during college. Every fat, ugly pilot, let alone all the decent looking ones, had a pregnant wife at home and many girlfriends all over the country-just because a woman was turned on by the stripes on his uniform. 90% at least, were alcoholics. Nothing to do in the hotel airports.

As for trading and dating, I think the risk factor in any job may relate to the risk tolerance in the girl's life; what she does for a living or what Dad does.

Just tell someone who you are. If they don't like it, dump them. Move on to one who doesn't mind.

My old workmates think I am a low-life now...

But then, they are selling investment linked life assurance (a.k.a. mutual fund plans to suck people dry and the salespersons don't give a shit about the investment loss)
