Tradestation ES data

I agree. Jannette is top-notch at TradeStation. She goes that extra mile to try to help TS members. However, most of the other ppl that I dealt with there were not the same caliber as her.

They should have a management restructuring and promote Jannette to take the lead. The Software Development manager and the Infrastructure manager should report to her. Maybe then, we will have stable software and timely reliable datafeed. We need someone at TS to advocate our perspective.

:D

Yeah, Jannette was really nice. She gave a call this morning and suggested that I erased the cache directory, because they think the cache was corrupted and that's why I didn't get historical data to plot correctly on the charts.

Well, I did that, but the problem still persist. After deleting, I opened the 2001 Dow chart and my cpu went back up to 100% usage. It was scary because I was in a few positions and my computer froze. I didn't know where I was. I had to get task manager to pop up which took another 2mins. Then kill the process which took another 30sec. Luckily, I didn't get killed in my positions.

But, I must admit at least TS was making an honest effort at customer service. I can't blame them for that. They just need to fix the memory leak or whatever it is that's bogging down the software.

Keep up the work TS. I just hope you guys find a solution soon.

Had it on all evening, didn't notice any problems, but wasn't watching it continuously.

There used to be, and may still be, what appeared to be a system-wide reset every night around the time you posted (I haven't been watching for it lately). Maybe that had something to do with it.

Or maybe you're just snakebit TS-wise...

I call on the phone.....email is useless pretty much for support. And if they can't help me, I ask for who they think might be able to.......maybe people are nice to me because I am a woman?

Women are much better with that stuff. I need a Viagra downer before talking to TradeStation support.

so, this dude Giovanni actually helped me "solve" the problem by telling me to changing my computer clock to be 1min faster in order to resolve teh 100% CPU usage error. But I use Atomic Clock sync program. So, I had to uninstall and set the time 1min ahead.

And it seemed to work this afternoon. I got historical chart. Now, it's night time. And I tried to retrieve another historical chart and it came back to 100% CPU usage again! WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How hard is it to retrieve data? And this time ist' only Nov 2002 data. If they are to have 10yrs of intradya data and i can't even get nov 2002

maybe it will work tomorrow. At least their customer service is good though. They got on the ball right away. And got 2 people involved in the issue right away.

I hope that I can use TS6 version as long as possible.
I will do that stupid symbol conversion manually.
TS6 works fine, no problems at all.

:)

fx and greendog, I'm right there with you! Unless the 20 years of data becomes available they will drag me kicking and screaming to upgrade. :D
