Tradestation ES data

At some point you have to cut the line... I think I'm bailing if the feed isn't fixed in three weeks. I've never seen it as bad as this morning. It's odd that they would put so much effort into their platform, and turn it into a lemon with a bad feed on what are probably their most common symbols.. nonetheless, I hate the string-you-along game.

What's my best bet for simple charting (including bid/ask) with a totally reliable feed, and the ability to write simple indicators? I would like to get a charting platform that can be used in conjunction with IB, and even better, fed from it. I wonder if CQG is prohibitively priced.
 
I just filled out CQG's information request. That's prohibitive for me at the current time, I was hoping their non-institutional "net" product would be priced accordingly.. Qcharts feed is supposed to have issues too, and I've seen an Esignal thread about bad ES data as well. TS's backtesting functionality has been educational, but ultimately I don't think it's going to make me any money. I do, however, love the flexibility of EL. It pains me to think I could have bought a copy of Wealth-Lab from the start for the amount I've paid for TS. What would you say is next best bet for directional scalping the minis, with solid charting, solid feeds, and some flexibility to write indicators included?

One consideration feeding IB data into any platform is that there is zero historical data which means if you're interrupted for any reason, you have no chart.

500-600 is for CQGNet, the double for their Lan (satellite) version.

Have used them a few years ago when there was no other competitive choice (their customer service in Europe was so bad that I left as soon as I could)
I am happy with mytrack which can be used with a few software.
Depends on what need.

As part of our commitment to improve the delivery of futures data, we are happy to announce the release of our direct connection to the CME and CBOT for data. This upgrade will not only improve the speed at which the data is received but also allow us to offer new functionality in the future, such as Market Depth for futures. The upgrade to our TradeStation Network is scheduled for next weekend, Saturday, June 7, 2003.

In directly connecting to the CME and CBOT for data, we have made some changes to our futures symbology. These changes not only affect CME and CBOT symbols, but symbols on all futures exchanges. As a result, we have built in automatic symbol conversion into TradeStation 7.1. We are in the process of rolling this version out to all customers. Therefore, as soon as you are prompted to upgrade, please do so immediately so that when the TradeStation Network upgrade is done, the workspaces and data stored on your machine that reference a symbol that has been changed, will automatically update to the new symbol. Again, in order to have a seamless transition, you must upgrade to 7.1 before Saturday, June 7, 2003. The version number of TradeStation can be found by clicking on Help – About TradeStation. Please note that we will send a message during the coming week with more information regarding this symbology change. Additionally, we will send instructions on how to manually update your data and workspaces for those customers that do not upgrade before the stated date.

Fingers crossed that this time they MEAN it, and that it all goes well.
 
I am not very happy with TradeStation......it seems every time that there is a jump in prices it stops working on the futures! I keep looking for something better, but have not found it. Pissed me off big time this morning, I saw a great set up and when I looked at IB got a shock as it had already shot to the moon.:mad: :mad:
 
Has anyone downloaded the new version yet? I haven't been able to find a download link on the TS website, or been prompted on launch. If you upgraded, how did you do it?
