traders who are deeply religious

Quote from stu:

You are the one missing the point. You could actually confirm in practical ways other than word of mouth and what's written in far more compelling form than any fable , that children are starving.
You could not prove in any way other than word of mouth or in practical ways that your imaginary friend "the higher power out there" was anything but a fable.

It's knowing that those differences are possible to confirm but ignoring them for the sake of a pious belief, and encouraging a dishonest misrepresention which makes the belief as well as the argument, in my view, contemptuous.

And you make the ASSUMPTION that I believe in GOD, time for you to go back and retake introduction to logic.

You could no more believe in god than pick a bottom Volente... belief... as opposed to blind faith requires many years of honing the mind, meditation provides the proof of our inner nature, and while some will call this a subjective truth they know not the nature of abstract intuition

Quote from volente_00:

"religion is the opiate of the masses"
And ignorance is bliss, but quoting others doesn't really tell us what you think Volente, it just means you can parrot the great minds that came before you... religion is merely the outer mysteries, nice myths that plant seeds in the subconscious that may one day take root and lead one to the inner mysteries of life

For your sake I hope you trade better than you debate.

I can answer any question regarding the mysteries of life... feel free to sip at my fountain... the meaning of life? what is love? the nature of god?... its all here baby

In fact here... I'm going to do you a favour and post a link to the book that Bill Gates supposedly read and promptly left school to start Microsoft. Legend has it that after the book was banned by the church in 1933 a copy of it turned up in silicon valley and was passed around and became the common factor among the entrepreneurial millionaires that were created

The secret of all secrets is contained within these pages... and unlike Napoleon Hills book... it is stated outright

I never said GOD existed, you are still making assumptions and continue to pontificate.

There you go trying to make me believe another fable just because so and so said this and that.
