Traders - What are your hobbies?

Golf. Caught the practice round for the Ryder at Medinah CC on Thursday.

Driving range a few times a week. Golf every weekend.

Great thread. If you can't answer what are my hobbies then perhaps you are not Disengaging from trading. Does it occupy every waking moment? I try to disengage by the close of real time hrs, if not already done by the first hour.

Disengage comletely. Try that daily via a routine. Exercise, a sport, etc.
 
Weight training, flying helicopters, deep sea fishing, and of course, cars.

Btw Luke, how's the build coming? I bet that thing will pull some wicked g's when airborne! Wow! Talk about fun!

In one word or less, slow. I've made very little progress this year. In part due to deciding I needed to completely redesign another fan and partly do to responsibilities at work. It's stressed for + 9 and - 3 G's, same as the F-16.
 
Being with friends/family, Cars, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling , reading, movies, video games, working out, biking, being in the fresh north woods or visiting anywhere that has the beautiful blue ocean.

Yep, sorry meant the engine. I talked to his wife this weekend, and actually he is apparently not doing to well with his diabetes, and is thinking of selling his business as none of his kids are interested.
And I was kidding about buying the jet. I am no fan of people who buy and try to fly planes they have no business being in, and pretending they are big shots. There is rarely a good outcome.

All I can say is I'd LOVE to go for a ride when it's finished! Wow! Are you gonna buy a g suit, or just breathe your way through these pulls? Again, wow! I've pulled plus 3, and thought I'd pass out. Can't imagine 9! Amazing!:)

No plans for a G suit. I've done + 6 and - 4.4 years ago. I've seen a guy do what I think was + 12 without a G suit, for very brief periods. Few GA aircraft have to the thrust to sustain high G for any length of time like the jet fighters do.

(The Blue Angles don't wear G suits either BTW)

Some wicked pulls! Wow! I'd want to give that a shot, but only on an empty stomach:D

And sounds like its all in the breathing at those positive g's. On the negative g side, I'd have to wonder how I would get my stomach out of my throat at a -4.4:eek:

Another good hobby (assuming you are not in the classes) would be to sell your car that you thought was not too bad and had a good year to price ratio, sell it, buy an older Jeep grand Cherokee (pre 2001?) spend money improving it as most hobbies cost money. Get it with some huge tires and take it for a REAL ride. As a bonus, technically you are "out doing something". Get the V8, with the better Dana shaft. Selec trac allows you to lock the diff. but you wont, so get the more common quadra drive (or trac... I forget which one) . With power everything and an AC that works. As a street truck it is also better then Aztec. (keep in mind its a uni body so look for undercarriage rust)

You may not know it, but you engulfing yourself in an "I am cooler then my neighbour that owns a van and I have something that looks relatively new" vehicle. The reaction to that (if you happen to care) is get a van !

The jeep will actually make you feel like "Hmm I have the option to run over your Hyundai accent if you piss me off"

The accent is appealing, I know. but running over an accent is also appealing.

Really an Aztek ? All the convenience of a tent platform wrapped up in a gas sucking van minus the extra row of seats.

What is that handle for !!!! Have you ever used it? I use it for when my phone slides off the passenger seat and slides under it.
But screw keeping track of where you phone is !


Buy a tent, don't worry, I am sure you will find a floor to pitch it on instead of your car. lol

Also going off road mean that once you arrive, you do not need to get up to begin your fun... did you catch that ? not get up!!! Well unless you need to pee ! lol
