Poor listening and analytical skills seem to be the rule rather than the exception. Of course the video does not clear Trump. But you'd have to carefully listen to both the question and the response to realize that, as opposed to uncritically accepting what you think you heard, or what the media tells you was heard.
Good for Kucinich, I always thought highly of him and his response in the posted video reinforces my respect for him. He's bright; well informed; a sharp thinker. He is not saying President Trump is not an asshole, a liar, and a criminal; he is not saying he is. He is expressing concern about an intelligence/military community that may have aspirations not in keeping with the best interests of ordinary citizens and an open, democratic society.
The business of Russian hackers trying to interfere with the election is, naturally, of interest. The topic is a reliable audience share builder for media. The investigation that is most likely going to lead to serious trouble for Trump and associates, however, is the investigation into real estate transactions involving Russian money, possible money laundering and tax evasion. This is an investigation going on in the background. I mentioned it some weeks ago. This money business doesn't yet have the media cachet of possible, Russian-Trump-campaign collusion, but were I Trump, it's the investigation I'd be most worried about. It is the probe far more likely to take him down, and potentially give him a several year, all expenses paid 'vacation'.
Trumps bizarre behavior in light of a highly unusual concentration among his advisors and administration of those with a history of Russian business dealings raises eyebrows. The Russians are well-known for corrupt business practice. The possibility that Trump himself has been involved in illicit financial activity is naturally heightened but such closeness and concentration of Russian, business connections. If Trump is involved in illicit business dealings, it is almost inconceivable that young Jared is not also entangled.
We are going to find out how artful our President's real estate deals really are. We already know that our President, aided by his narcissism, is a first rate 'showboater'. I think it quite likely that his affliction has also resulted in risky deal making with counter parties his mother would not approve of.
