Trader P/L 2014

Good day. As almost always, could have been better, but no real complaints overall.
After this week, I'm going over to a once a week post, as during the year I don't really trade that much, with the possible exception of options expiration weeks, of which this is one. Will also post more often when things get more volatile.
Rollover has been smooth so far. Unlike last month, not taking a flyer on the VIX SOQ. Don't have any real conviction one way or the other on how that will come out tomorrow.
No trades on the S&P 500 again today. Whee! I swear, I feel like a smoker trying to quit.

Crazed day, right from the start. Ended weirdly, too. Gave in and got some SDS on one of the small blips up in the afternoon, felt obliged to because the overnight risk is feeling not good. The day started with a failed German auction of bonds, after all, which certainly came out of left field. Russian ruble is collapsing, Kiev is burning, little things like that.

I would never dare trading on anything but a desktop computer.
I like my big monitor, and keyboard, and mouse -- I tried, and have never really gotten use to...Tablets,cellphones,notebooks -- they all felt awkward and unnatural to me.

Should have made all my money back from yesterday, especially since the rest of my portfolio did well, but some oddball stuff went on in some VIX options I use to hedge, so not quite even with Tuesday. I expect that will be made up tomorrow, if tomorrow's a decent day.
