Hey if you are headed in the right direction that is all that matters... my trading accounts were combined at about 12,000$ in Nov 2008, and I have traded my way all the way up to the current value (more than 50X return) in 18 months (of course, it is less now that I had to take out a bunch of taxes for last year and this year, but still up about 5000% since Nov 2008).

If you have a true edge, and control your risk of your trades so you don't blow up, then you'll get there...

Wow, what a great day to be a day trader ... too bad that's not what I do. Mostly swing trading 1-5 days w/ some longer term 1-8 weeks. And no shorts today - couldn't find any new overbought stocks to short, and I already took profits on my last short early in the day.

-2500/-2.6% I hate losing but it helps to know the markets have given back 8 weeks of gains and I still haven't given back all of last weeks.
 
-705 ........ stoped out on oil, before its 2$ drop ....then stoped out on NQ before its 130+ point drop, FML seriously or kill me. Im disgusted.

Pray tell what treachery brought this on? Did your standing limit order to buy ACN at .01 finally fill? Or were you short 1000 SPY at 113.50 when it put in that lower high?

+1235 In ES

I had jury duty, so had to quit after the first 45 minutes. ES was popping, nervous market -- high one minute ATR. My last trade was a short at 10:19 eastern at 1163, The Last High Before The Historic Plunge, but I took a quick profit and had to boogie to my courtroom.

I've attached my may month-to-date summary. Divide by three to get the actual number of trades (each OSO target is counted as a trade by Tradestation).

not to many days like today, just sell something and hold on, i felt silly putting in a stop on my us steel short, by the time i entered it, it was a dollar lower
