I agree that today is a very tough day for ES. Down 6 ES points today. Stopped out a couple of times by one or two ticks. It's tough to have the small stop (2.5 points) hold in such a crazy day.

I trade 1-3 contracts and on a 1 lot I was in the hole $1,000 by 9:45 am, then stayed negative until lunch when I was able to get my mojo working and close out with an average day.

Lesson learned = I didn't trade, I gambled.
Had absolutely no feel for what was going on and just jumped in with size stupid.
Was heading into the weekend +8k, LOL, 4 days work gone in 2 hours.
Caught a lot of fish anyway
Still having an above average month - taking a break.

Thurs: Had a gain initially, only for it to swing sharply on me and turn into a loss. Down around $500. Held SDS overnight.
Fri: Made back the loss from Thurs, but only finished the day +50.
I'm thinking that I might switch my focus to more swing/position trading and a bit less on day trading - we'll see.

I spent more time looking for a good newsfeed than anything else today.
Other than keeping myself busy waiting for the next setup it was a good day. i also went over a million shares for the month. Seems like that may be more and more common for me.
