Trader P/L 2008

No trades today. Left mid-morning to take care of a car repair. Later on the way back I said to my husband, "I've been watching MA all morning. It looks like it will retest that 160 resistance and as soon as it breaks thru I'm gonna ride it to 165. Got back to my desk and the move was over, almost to the T :eek:

* UAUA was not available to be shorted from IB so I wrote calls. I traded it twice and made money both times. First by covering the options and the second short by covering ITM call with buying the stock. IB ledger doesnt show the profit on the PnL so I am manually adding in $55 to my PnL to correct it (sold the options for 41 cents over the strike and bought the stock at 30 cents for about $66 minus commissions)

it's a gain, but it was testicularly challenged, and thus, disappointing.
i'm trading scared- taking small profits and losses- gun shy to just let the trade unfold and trust myself. the forex near-debacle outlined in last night's blotter didn't help- i was lucky to escape that unscathed.
nonetheless, combined with last night's trading (blotter already posted), is over 10m, so i should be happy- far from it though...
in the greatest trading market in a generation, i am down $94,120 month to date. the glass 1/2 full people might note that in my 4 worst days this month, i'm down over $250m, so i should take heart in that i've overcome more than 150m of that mess. my glass (and portfolio!), however, is 1/2 empty..
blotter says +4900. POS IB is wrong, actual is + ~3400.
